An ordinance is an action taken by the Board of County Commissioners that creates a law that governs the behavior of everyone. It is a municipal law which may be amended or repealed by adoption of another ordinance. Except in cases of emergency or a suspension of the rules, ordinances are adopted by during regular session meetings of the board.
